Waste Management Regulations

Waste management is an industry regulated by the UK government.

Skip Hire Permits

If you plan to hire a skip and leave it on public land - such as roads - you will need to acquire a skip permit from your local council. At Skip4DPW, we will help you in whatever way we can with any applicable permits. There are also various safety concessions that skips on public land must meet. Such as being surrounded by cones and flashing amber lights. We will help you to make sure all government requirements are met.

Prohibited and Dangerous Waste

There are a number of items and materials which cannot be disposed of using a skip. Some items include paint tins, batteries and asbestos. If you have specialist waste to dispose of, contact our customer services team on 0800 907 6230 and they will help come up with a solution to your waste problems.

Waste Disposal

All waste disposed of using skips must be sorted and recycled. Once we have removed your skip, it will be taken to one of our waste management facilities where we will recycle up to 85% of your waste.
